Creating a home away from home
Hey there! My name is Kayla Varney, the founder of The Spirit Garden; A place where creators and plant lovers can come together and can enjoy intimate experiences, relaxing days off, or fun with friends. A place where you can never get enough no matter how many times you go.
My goal when creating The Spirit Garden was to combined all the things I loved the most. Bartending, gardening, creating, spending time with friends. I was envious of seeing people be so sure of their passions while I was still trying to find mine. So I decided to combined that and what you, the people, want as well. Whether you're there for the tiramisu martini, one of the classes, trivia night, or just to knit a blanket, we've got you covered.
Our mission is to create that environment that you want to keep coming back to everyday, employee or customer. Just like plants, we all need time, space and care to grow, and we want to be the space for you to do that.
Our Story
The vision started while I was still the FOH Manager at Portland Pie Company in Waterville Maine. I was making a list of my passions, and came up with the grand idea that next morning.
Everyone told me I was crazy. Literally everyone. I appreciated the few that told me to go for it now and don't wait until I'm older. But I also appreciate the doubt because its made me want to prove them wrong. 'How else did every millionaire become a millionaire? Not by listening to 'you cant do it' I said.
Working in customer service since I was 16, Ive gotten a handle on how to make people happy and can ensure that our business will exceed your expectations.
This Company is in its very early stages. Please expect growth and changes, and don't be shy to give feedback, as your thoughts are the most important things to me.
